Credential Use Policy

Permitted Uses

• Displaying your NCFET credential on your business website, business card, résumé, or professional profile to accurately represent your current credential status.
• Sharing your NCFET verification link so employers, customers, or facilities can verify your credential status.
• Referencing your NCFET certification level in job applications, proposals, or customer communications — as long as you accurately represent what the credential covers.

Prohibited Uses

• Representing your NCFET credential as a government license, electrical license, contractor license, or engineering license.
• Claiming manufacturer authorization or warranty coverage based solely on an NCFET credential unless that manufacturer has separately authorized you in writing.
• Displaying an expired, suspended, or revoked NCFET credential as current or active.
• Reproducing, reselling, or distributing NCFET certificates, course content, exam questions, or digital assets.
• Altering a certificate in any way, including digitally modifying the name, level, dates, certificate number, or credential status.
• Claiming a credential level you have not legitimately earned and maintained.
• Using the NCFET name, seal, or wordmark on materials not directly related to your verified credential without written permission from NCFET.

Verification Requirement

All parties relying on an NCFET credential — including customers, employers, facilities, and manufacturers — are responsible for independently verifying credential status through the official NCFET verification system at NCFET.com/verify before relying on a credential for any hiring, contracting, or authorization decision.

Enforcement

NCFET may suspend or revoke credentials for policy violations. Credential misrepresentation may result in legal action. NCFET reserves the right to pursue all available remedies for unauthorized use of NCFET marks, credentials, or content.
