Code of Conduct
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · NCFET™
1. Purpose
This Code of Conduct applies to all individuals who hold, have applied for, or are pursuing NCFET™ certifications, credentials, or program enrollments. It establishes the professional and ethical standards that NCFET™ credential holders are expected to meet and maintain throughout the period their credential is active and beyond.
NCFET™ is a private professional credentialing organization. Compliance with this Code is a condition of certification and continued credential status.
2. Professional Integrity
Certified technicians must:
- Perform all work with honesty, competence, and due care.
- Not misrepresent their qualifications, experience, or credential status to employers, clients, or facilities.
- Not claim NCFET™ certification levels they have not earned or that have expired.
- Not display revoked or suspended credentials as active.
- Not submit false service hours, false practical assessment records, or fraudulent documentation to NCFET™.
3. Safety Standards
Certified technicians must:
- Prioritize member and public safety in all service activities.
- Follow applicable electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Immediately report or take out of service any equipment they identify as posing an imminent safety risk.
- Not perform work they are not qualified to perform safely.
- Not conceal defects, failures, or safety hazards discovered during service.
4. Credential and Badge Use
Certified technicians must:
- Use NCFET™ credentials and badges only in accurate, unaltered form.
- Not alter, modify, or reproduce NCFET™ badges, certificates, or credential documents.
- Not share login credentials with any other person.
- Not allow a third party to use their NCFET™ credential or display it in connection with services the credential holder did not perform.
- Not use NCFET™ branding in a manner that implies government approval, manufacturer authorization, or affiliation not expressly granted by NCFET™.
5. Exam and Course Integrity
Technicians, students, and applicants must:
- Not copy, share, publish, or distribute NCFET™ exam questions, answer keys, or course content.
- Not assist others in cheating on exams or assessments.
- Not use unauthorized resources during proctored examinations.
- Not misrepresent practical assessment results or field hours to any reviewer or administrator.
6. Confidentiality and Data
Certified technicians must:
- Maintain reasonable confidentiality regarding facility layouts, equipment configurations, and proprietary client information encountered during service.
- Not use facility access gained during service for any purpose other than the authorized service visit.
- Comply with applicable privacy laws when handling member or client information.
7. Continuing Education and Renewal
To maintain an active credential, certified technicians must:
- Complete continuing education requirements before credential expiration.
- Pass renewal exams as required under the NCFET™ Renewal Policy.
- Not represent an expired credential as currently active.
8. Compliance with NCFET™ Policies
All credential holders are bound by:
- NCFET™ Terms of Service
- NCFET™ Credential Use Policy
- NCFET™ Exam Integrity Policy
- This Code of Conduct
9. Violations and Disciplinary Action
NCFET™ may investigate reports of Code violations and may take the following actions:
- Issue a formal warning.
- Suspend the credential pending investigation.
- Revoke the credential permanently.
- Disqualify the individual from future NCFET™ certification programs.
Disciplinary determinations are made at NCFET™'s reasonable discretion. Credential holders may submit a written appeal within 30 days of a disciplinary determination to support@ncfet.com.
